Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
Morning Departure: Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive to Samburu National Reserve. En Route: Pass through the central highlands, enjoying scenic views of Mount Kenya on the way. Arrival & Check-in: Arrive at your lodge or camp in Samburu in time for lunch. Afternoon Game Drive: Set out for an afternoon game drive. Samburu is known for its unique species such as Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, and the Beisa oryx. Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a luxury lodge or tented camp in Samburu.
Day 2: Samburu National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park
Morning Game Drive: Enjoy an early morning game drive to catch more wildlife before breakfast. Drive to Lake Nakuru: After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, passing through beautiful landscapes and stopping for lunch en route. Arrival & Check-in: Arrive at Lake Nakuru in the late afternoon. Afternoon Game Drive: Embark on a late afternoon game drive around Lake Nakuru. The park is home to a variety of bird species, including the flamingos that flock to the lake, as well as rhinos, lions, and leopards. Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a lodge overlooking the lake or inside the park.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
Morning Game Drive & Breakfast: Take an early morning game drive around the lake, then enjoy breakfast before departing. Drive to Masai Mara: Depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, passing through the Great Rift Valley. Arrival & Check-in: Arrive in the Masai Mara in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, head out for a game drive in the Masai Mara, where you’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a luxury tented camp or lodge in the Masai Mara.
Day 4: Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve
Early Morning Game Drive: Head out for a sunrise game drive to catch the predators and other wildlife before the day heats up. Breakfast & Relaxation: Return to the lodge for breakfast and some leisure time. Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari: Option to experience a hot air balloon safari at sunrise (extra cost), followed by a champagne breakfast in the bush. Afternoon Game Drive: Explore more of the Masai Mara with an afternoon game drive, focusing on different areas of the park for diverse wildlife sightings. Dinner & Overnight: Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Masai Mara – Amboseli National Park
Morning Game Drive & Breakfast: Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Masai Mara, followed by breakfast. Fly to Amboseli (or drive): You can either drive back to Nairobi and transfer to Amboseli by road or take a scheduled flight (extra cost) to Amboseli. Arrival & Check-in: Arrive in Amboseli in the afternoon and check into your lodge or camp. Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a lodge in Amboseli with views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 6: Amboseli National Park – Tsavo West National Park
Morning Game Drive: Head out for a morning game drive in Amboseli, renowned for its large elephant herds and magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Breakfast & Transfer to Tsavo West: After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park. Arrival & Check-in: Arrive at your lodge or camp in Tsavo West, have lunch, and relax. Afternoon Game Drive: In the afternoon, explore Tsavo West’s rugged landscapes on a game drive. Visit Mzima Springs, a clear water oasis frequented by hippos and crocodiles. Dinner & Overnight: Stay at a lodge or camp in Tsavo West.
Day 7: Tsavo West – Tsavo East National Park – Nairobi
Morning Game Drive: Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tsavo West. Transfer to Tsavo East: After breakfast, drive to Tsavo East National Park, famous for its open savannah and large herds of red elephants. Final Game Drive in Tsavo East: Explore Tsavo East’s scenic landscapes and wildlife before having lunch. Return to Nairobi: After lunch, drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon for your flight or onward destination.
